Heart Intelligence: Bringing the Heart and S.O.L Back into Society
What a wonderful time to be alive! Collectively, we are at the threshold of an evolution revolution of The Great Remembering: we are spiritual beings having a human experience. As a human family, we are a part of the great golden web of life that is so inextricably interconnected as above ground, so below, right down to the very core of our planet Earth! Just as our Mother Earth’s heart center core is currently in process of completing a cycle and shifting directions (quite literally!), so too are we human beings!
Our collective change of heart grows from the outer driving force of climate change and our own inner crisis of meaning. We can no longer ignore Mother Nature’s conscious call to change with her elevated elemental fury: her floods of tears, wallowing winds of worry, ground shaking grief, and raging wildfires of anger. Nor can we continue to deny our birthright of ethereal exploration into the elements of our consciousness as we grow and evolve to self-actualization.
As a part of our very own change of heart, conscious awareness is being brought down from the head- where science and society’s coveted intelligence resides- down into the heart, and its very own intelligence. Just like our planet Earth holds an electromagnetic field from its core- its heart center- so too do each of us. Science has found that our individual heart’s electromagnetic field emanates from our very heart center extending in every direction fifteen to twenty-five feet while actively interacting with the Earth’s electromagnetic field and the field of every living being. The heart’s electromagnetic power is 5,000 times that of the brain, sending more messages to the brain than in the reverse! Science is still learning about this largely untapped field of study, playing catch- up to Aristotle’s offering of the ‘cardiocentric’ version of human anatomy in which he believed that the true center of human intelligence exists not in the mind, but in the heart.
Across our species’ evolution, we have innovated many technological advances - the telephone, the light bulb, the television, the automobile, the airplane, the Internet, the Smart phone… the list goes on and on. Although these outward scientific advances have further connected our great big human family, these technologies over time have also created the great disconnect from our very own unique inner technology and multiple intelligences. These scientific “breakthroughs” have been mere outward creations signifying the great potential of our own inner intellectual intelligence. The systems that our existence is built upon cultivate and reward the intellect, society’s most prized and coveted form of intelligence and yet it is only one form of intelligence we possess. Additionally, our scientific understanding of the intellect or neurobiology continues to grow exponentially with still so much to learn and discover about the brain that only accounts for two percent of our body weight and yet uses twenty percent of a person’s energy. Are we willing to acknowledge all that we still do not know and understand yet? Are we willing to consider and even embrace the wisdom offered by Antoine de Saint-Exupery in The Little Prince?

We have been trained to only believe what we can see with our eyes, relying solely on our sense of sight to confirm truth. Science has taught us that. And yet all the while our intuitive, heart intelligence is quietly gifting us information all the time. If only we would slow down our busy minds and thoughts to listen and hear what our hearts have to say.
