Meet the Founder of wildheart seeds: JENNY SEEDS
It all started with a question… Who nurtures the nurturers?
Wildheart Seeds was planted while Jenny was living in Bali, Indonesia, when someone offered in conversation, “Our mothers are our nurturers. Who nurtures the nurturers?” “Me!” Jenny exclaimed. In that very moment, Jenny knew a new purpose was germinating within, and she has been living into her answer ever since- the manifestation of Wildheart Seeds. Wildheart Seeds is Jenny’s offering to the world. It is her evergrowing harvest basket brimming with lived experience, ways of being, practices, and tools that she is collecting on her heart-led, transformative inner and outer journey around the world as a teacher guide.
Jenny’s diverse teaching experiences range from a progressive public school north of Chicago named a National Historic Landmark to an American school in the heart of London, and from a wall-less bamboo school immersed in the jungles of Bali to a school nestled in the diplomatic enclave of bustling New Delhi. Most recently, she co-founded and taught in a small one room schoolhouse on a 234-acre biodynamic, regenerative farm north of Los Angeles. Jenny’s unique experiences guiding students and partnering with colleagues and parents from all over the world in the public, private, and homeschooling realms have gifted her an expansive perspective on education, with opportunities to “try on” and experience many different teaching theories, philosophies, and pedagogies using a vast array of curriculums and resources.
With an undergraduate degree in elementary education and a masters degree in literacy learning, Jenny holds a deep, rich understanding of early childhood development while staying current with research, best practice, and the realities of today’s classrooms and homes to offer teachers, parents and caretakers a hand (and a hug when needed) in raising our next generation.
Along the way, Jenny has intentionally cultivated different parts of herself beyond the classroom. Committed to her own self-development and well-being, Jenny is a trained yoga teacher, Erickson Life Coach, and Positive Discipline Parent Educator.
